Dream of becoming a makeup artist?

In this course, you will cover the fundamental components of makeup artistry. This course has been specifically designed for aspiring makeup artists.

You will learn all the fundamental skills, techniques and knowledge that will prove an invaluable starting point as a professional makeup artist.

You will cover analysing skin types and face shapes, tools and products, cleansing and preparing the skin, right through to designing a makeup plan and learning to professionally apply makeup. You will consult with clients and demonstrate and apply make-up products to suit client needs.

You will also learn to select products and tools to apply photographic make-up. In this environment you will gain hands on experience by working as part of a creative team, making informed creative decisions and gain knowledge and skills across a range of specialised make-up products and application techniques. For anyone wanting to work in, bridal or editorial, you will gain understanding of what is involved in creating flawless makeup for photography.

Creative makeup looks aren't only for Halloween parties. You can design looks for other special occasions or any time you want to create not just a look, but a fantasy. In creative makeup you will respond to a client brief to design and apply make-up for specialised looks.

This makeup course will include opportunities to create your professional portfolio by shooting with a professional portrait photographer throughout the course.
