This Diploma in Event Management is an exciting and hands on event management course. Whether your passion is in sporting events, weddings or fashion events, creatives looking to kick start their future in the event field will be privy to one-of-a-kind training they won’t find anywhere else.

The creative industry is a world of excitement brimming with opportunities, but it can be hard to break in to without the right know-how. For those dreaming of a creative career, might struggle to find work without the right skillset, experience or industry connections - and with limited courses available, where does one start?


Our students graduate prepared for the real world, providing a unique experience, hands-on learning with additional opportunities to utilise what you have learnt through work experience and internship opportunities. 

This course will have you working to achieve the most exciting and rewarding end goal of successfully launching a live event. ACA have partnered with ACIA (Australian Creative Industry Awards) to recognise and showcase Australia's leading creative professionals in an annual event coming to the Gold Coast from 2022. 


You will work through the event organisation, creative, planning, right through to the live event which will conclude your final assessment. 
You will cover off the fundamentals of event management including event operations, event industry information, finances and more. 
For many, this Diploma course is a powerful springboard into an exciting events career. For some, it is an opportunity to gain a fresh injection of learning to enhance their existing role. For all, it is challenging, fun, different and above all, effective.
This Diploma of Event Management (SIT50316) is delivered in partnership with RTO 31215. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded with a Nationally Recognised qualification issued by RTO 31215 One Step Further.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.​​


20 units must be completed: 11 core units and 9 elective units.

Do you have 5 or more years industry relevant experience? You can have your experience recognised by applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Through RPL you could reduce the duration of your studies. RPL is assessed on a case by case basis and is only available upon application.

Participants undertake four Nationally Accredited Units of Competency..

The Diploma of Event Management can be completed externally online or by remote learning, or in person at any of our studios.

To qualify for successful completion of this course, the participant must pass each Unit of Competency.

Participants have a maximum timeframe of 2 years to complete this course.

Expected completion for an engaged participant is 1 to 2 years.


This Diploma of Event Management (SIT50316) is delivered in partnership with RTO 31215. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded with a Nationally Recognised qualification issued by RTO 31215 One Step Further.
